We love to hear feedback form our great custoemrs. Here a few emails we have recently received.

Everything is perfect, Perfect PERFECT! I wish the big bling was not being
discontinued. My Basset loves to look like a lady…everyone assumes the
breed is all male. But she weighs 60 lbs. an needs a 16 inch collar…

Hi!

Love love LOVE your store.

My puppies names are:

Poppy…she is a 9 month old Shih Tzu/Maltese mix and she is just gorgeous, graceful and regal.  I purchased the Up Country orange and pink flower power leash, collar and harness for her because they look like poppy flowers.

Daisy…she is my 5 month old Teddy Bear (Shih Tzu/Bichon mix), all white, and so funny.  She is my little clown.

Elliot…he is my almost 4 month old Shih Tzu and we think Poodle, mix.  He was a rescue from a Missouri puppy mill; they said he was all Shih Tzu, but there has to be Poodle somewhere in his line because  he is so so curly.  They were going to euthanize him.  He is the smartest, sweetest dog.  He is black with a white chin and chest.  The most cuddly dog I’ve ever had.  I’m so lucky to have been the one to adopt him.

Thanks for having a great website and a great store.  I just purchased a shirt for Elliot…..the red Cats Taste Like Chicken harness t-shirt.  Crack me up!  LOL!  And…..a bunch of toys.  The cutest toys I’ve ever seen….the Chewnel Perfume, the Starbark’s, and the dos XXez….they all crack me up.  Also ordered 3 of the treat bulbs.  I can’t wait to get everything.  I spoil the dogs rotten, they have more toys than a pet store!

Have a great holiday, and get my order out soon!  LOL!

Thank you to all who have served our country past and present. Our grandfathers, fathers, brothers, uncles and cousins- we are proud to call you family and appreciate all the sacrifices you have made for your country.

I can’t believe it’s been 6 months since our last post. So much has been happening behind the scenes at Trendy Puppy to make your shopping experience better. HQ have moved, employees have been shifted and most importantly our website has been revamped and improved.

Kimmie and I are still trucking along status quo and looking forward to sharing with you lots more in the coming months. We are working hard to bring you new items and some exciting ideas for the holidays so be sure to check back often for all that is trendy for puppies and dogs of all sizes.

“Spring Has Sprung, Fall Has Fell, Kiss Me Quick I’m…..” Each spring on my college’s campus young pledges  found themselves soliciting smooches from cute boys with this mantra. Some were a bit too zealous for my likings, but that fervor of spring and accomplishing tasks and starting a new chapter of life is one I reflect on every spring as I watch the bulbs force themselves up through the soggy earth.

This week was supposed to hold all that promise of spring springing- Easter and Earth Day all in one week. Rebirth. Baby chicks. Cadbury Eggs. Flowers blooming. Human-sized, upright bunnies somehow bringing candy into homes for children. Walking the girls to the bus stop. Kimmie and I frolicking in the garden between our daily runs. I envision the opening scene of Little House on the Prairie as Laura, Mary and Carrie come running down the hill with Jack, and like Carrie, I am falling down and rolling around trying to get up.

Instead, this week brought snow. And cold. And wind. I once again drove the girls to the bus stop and Kimmie and I crawled back into bed for the day. I hope the Easter Bunny doesn’t notice the Cadbury Egg I ate for lunch. And poor Kimmie doesn’t even get to show off her new Earth Day collar to the b*tches down the street.

Spring has not sprung, fall has not fell, and certainly, I am not “motivated” as hell. I hope, like Carrie, I too can quickly get back on my feet.

This is the collar the Kiminator got for Earth Day. She is so excited to wear it I couldnt snap a pic!

Happy Easter and Earth Day to all. Peace from PhatGirl

Kimmie's Easter LookIf you’ve ever been clothes shopping with a very slim friend, you know the feeling. Everything she pulls out seems to look great on her. The pants zip up with ease, there’s no boob bulge at the buttons and her arms don’t look like sausage casings. And the muffin top- well, let’s not even go there. And when exactly did “zero” become a size? I’m pretty sure the Kiminator gets the feeling.

You see, when the Kiminator and I hang at the Trendy Puppy offices it’s usually with AlphaMoon and her beloved malti-poo (Maltese/Poodle) Suzie. Kimmie loves to hang with her cousin Suzie, but Kimmie is sometimes a bull in a china shop. Suzie can easily manuever the stock room, spryly jump from counter to counter, and curl up under a desk while we work away. The Kiminator has to stay on her bed in the corner most of the time, or risk taking out the inventory and to never be invited back to HQ again.

Yesterday Suzie was the belle of the ball as the Kiminator patiently napped in her corner. AlphaMoon is trying to figure out what dress Suzie will wear for Easter Sunday. So many to choose from! And of course, every one she tried on looked fabulous on her. They all had a bunch of Xs in front of the SMALL, the equivalent to the “zero” for us humans. I will post a pic of the dress Suzie finally picks. The Kiminator and I are voting for the Green Daisy Country Club Dress- practical, inexpensive and cute! Check it out: http://www.trendypuppy.com/dresses/countryclub-dog-dress.html

The Kiminator has accepted that she just wasn’t built to wear an Easter dress, just as I wasn’t built to wear a half shirt with low-rise jeans. But, she did find the fabulous pink Easter dog collar with bunnies she is so proudly modeling in this pic. I think next week the Kiminator and I will go in after hours to shop the inventory. Sometimes it’s just best to shop alone and embrace the large bone structure you were born with. For now, we are going to go for a walk so she can proudly show off her beautiful fluffy pink Easter collar to the Great Dane down the street. He’s so going to be jealous.

It happens at this time every year so you would think I would become accustomed to it. The ground begins to thaw and the Kiminator goes out and digs and  rolls in God knows what. It’s not a crisp, refreshing,” Ah it’s spring!” smell. No, it’s a “seriously, tell me now what rotting rodentia corpse you dug up out there so I can rectify this” smell. Dog breath takes on a whole new dimension in spring for the Kiminator. And, being a lab, the oils in her skin seem to really kick it in as well. And with all the rain we have had in Chicagoland, this week has just about made her unbearable.

Then there’s the spring paws. Wet and caked with mud- and possibly some rodentia. Generally speaking, feet completely gross me out. My girls’ feet aren’t even that cute anymore. To have to dig around between the toe pads and claws and fur on the Kiminator’s paws just about does me in each day. I’m working on teaching her to wipe her feet as she comes in. Basically, I have thrown down some towels in the hallway where she enters and make her walk back and forth until I think her paws are dry. I think she gets it because she is even doing it sometimes without me dragging her back and forth everytime. But sometimes the Kiminator just needs to be in. When my husband sees the paw prints across the kitchen floor I tell him the girls must have let her in when I was busy making him dinner. Perhaps some rodentia stew a la the Kiminator?

This week’s tasks are to figure out how to hook into Facebook- check

How to post pictures in my blogs– check

I am so diggin the new job- it’s not even noon on Tuesday and I’m done with my tasks for the week!

Fatt. The ultimate four-letter word. Fat isn’t allowed to be used in our house. It seems so demeaning, so degrading, so vulgur.

This morning, after celebrating D-Man’s birthday in to the wee hours with lots of pizza and beer, I am feeling rather puffy. Bloated. Plump. Fatt. I said it. It’s Mid-January in Chicago and I’m fat.

Which brings me to The Kiminator. The Kiminator, well she’s fat too. A 5 year old yellow bench lab who had two rear knees replaced last year has also gotten thick this winter. In the fall we would walk the girls down to their bus stops, go for a nice long walk and play in the garden all day. When the girls got home from school they would play fetch with  her and run through the woods until dark.

Then the snow and ice and cold came. Driving to the bus stop has become the norm. The Kiminator doesn’t like cold. I have to force her out to do her business in the morning and she is barking to come back in within minutes. Her 20 yard dashes in and out are doing nothing to help her figure.

As we start this new year and new chapter in our Trendy Endeavors, The Kiminator and I are also starting a new chapter: 2011 the year The Kiminator and I get PHAT- Pretty Hot And Tempting.

Hopefully soon I will be able to update about how my clothes are no longer fatt (Fitting All Too Tightly) and The Kiminator has finely caught that pesky squirrel.
